Hello there, and welcome to Musings from the Branches!

This post will be short and sweet, so no need to buckle in.

This blog will be home base for a few different types of content: first and foremost, I’ll be posting editing tips and tricks for the writers among you who are wrestling with plot questions and genre concerns, or who are just stuck on that nasty pluperfect subjunctive verbal that popped up two paragraphs ago that you can’t seem to get rid of. I am here for (and take joy in—sorry!) all of your writing woes, so let’s talk about them!

Also, this blog will be a place for me to talk about what I’m reading and loving (or hating!) right now. Comments will be open, so feel free to wade into the ~discourse~ as you see fit!

I may also post about general publishing things—what self-publishing vs. trad publishing looks like; “my novel has been copy edited, where do I go next”; etc.

Hopefully, this blog will become a useful catchall of resources for the writers and hopeful writers out there.

Overall, I hope that you leave this blog feeling energized and hopeful, not overcast and dreary.
